*WAITLIST FOR new clients*

You matter. You are enough. You deserve to take up space. Read that again. Notice how it feels to read those words. Notice any discomfort. How these words feel true or untrue. This might not yet feel true in your body, but my hope for you in our work together is that you are able to see yourself as I see you now. Worthy. Not by earning it through how much you can achieve or love or care for others. Worthy now. Just as you are.

My name is Molly Schweers (she/her) & I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (13718), Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (22037), Clinical Supervisor Intern (CCS-21300) for provisionally licensed LCAS clinicians. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Colorado at Boulder and my Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling and Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am an outpatient psychotherapist currently doing virtual telehealth sessions only.

I am passionate about working with adults who identify as a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), individuals experiencing chronic pain or chronic illnesses, those who often feel overstimulated or hold a lot of tension in their body. I work with those who have experienced trauma of varying degrees, most specifically sexual and religious trauma. I use a variety of evidence-based approaches in my therapeutic process including Somatic and Attachment Focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (SAFE EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also use Constructed Awareness and am a Certified Constructed Awareness Clinician (CCAC). I maintain a person-centered, non-violent approach, meaning I will honor what you need out of this space and rather than try to problem solve or fix your emotions, I’ll help give you tools to be present with them and to give them space, as well.

I look forward to our work together!

Favorite Quotes

  • “The natural impulse when pain arises is to try and get rid of it somehow. All of western medicine is built on the goal to get rid of pain. But getting rid of pain is not the same as healing. Healing is actually the capacity to hold pain."

  • “Come home to yourself. Stop running. Stop hiding. You are worthy, enough, magical, capable, and so much more. Come home to yourself. You are allowed to rest here.”
