Welcome! My name is Anna Caplan, and I'm a Raleigh therapist here at Nourish Carolina Counseling. If you feel out of control, disconnected from yourself, or overwhelmed by your circumstances, therapy can be a support to you. I work primarily with young adults (18 through 30+) navigating college, post-grad, or beyond and believe in developing an authentic, secure relationship with clients. I have a passion for working alongside clients through a variety of experiences, including but not limited to:
- Relational / attachment wounds
- PTSD
- Grief
- LGBTQIA+ topics
- Disconnection from the body
- Religious trauma
- Low self-esteem
- Sexual dysfunction
- Emotional dysregulation (anxiety, depression)
- Family of origin difficulty
I have a systemic lens and utilize evidence-based modalities including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic approaches, and mindfulness. I integrate humor and authenticity into sessions in order to foster a genuine therapeutic relationship.
I would be honored to come alongside you and take part in your process of developing healthier relationships with yourself and others. I believe that all individuals have the potential for healing, and as a therapist, I will provide a safe, affirming space for you to process the past and present, develop coping skills, and move forward with more confidence.
